Butler SWCD Agriculture

Ryan Smith, Agricultural Conservationist

Thank you for visiting the Agricultural page for the Butler Soil and Water Conservation District!  We are here to serve any landowner, homeowner or operator that is in need of help with their Natural Resources.  If you live or own property in Butler County, then we are your “one stop shop” for your questions or concerns regarding your natural resources.

The Butler SWCD works hand in hand with the NRCS (Natural Resource Conservation Service) and the FSA (Farm Service Agency).  Together, we will provide the latest information that is available to you and also technical assistance for your natural resource concerns.

The Butler SWCD provides technical assistance on all federal Farm Bill programs and also several programs that are not federally funded.  The water quality credit trading program and the no-till drill are programs that the SWCD can assist you with.  The pulldown menu on the left provides links with more about these programs.

If you any questions or concerns please call Ryan Smith, Agricultural Conservationist at 513-887-3720.
