Painting on Butler County
Carrie Pate, a local artist, has painted this beautiful picture for Butler SWCD.
Each SWCD in Ohio and the Ohio Federation of Soil and Water Conservation Districts have sought out local artists to develop a piece of artwork based on their interpretation of their County’s important natural, environmental, agricultural and/or historical features. The piece had to incorporate the shape of the County and adhere to the theme: “Soil and Water Conservation – Keeping Ohio’s land productive and water clean!”
The painting by Carrie will soon be added to the collection of designs from all Ohio counties and displayed throughout the state. Finally, it will be permanently displayed at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division Headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
Butler SWCD greatly appreciates the time and effort Carrie put into creating this piece.
