Meetings Butler SWCD Board

Sept 16 meeting time has been changed to 9 am to dscuss personnel and so will go straight into executive session

Meeting Meetings are open to the public and are held at 1 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Butler SWCD office.

Discounted Soil Testing

Thanks to a grant from ODNR, we can offer a discount on soil testing for the first 100 Butler County residents. Your cost will only be $7. We are partnering with OSU Extension, and they still have the test packs, so please contact them at 513-887-3722. Find out more... (pdf)

Pasture Management Workshop

Oct, 23, 10 am - 2 pm at Ol' Mac Angues farm, Lanes Mill Rd, Oxford. Cost $25. Registration Required.

Project Underground & Ohio Geology

Educators Workshop October 28, 8:30 - 3:00, Greenacres Foundation in Indian Hill. Targeted for grades 3-5. We will explore the Project Underground curriculum on karst and cave formation and learn about Ohio's geologic past and present. Workshop flier with more information or you can Register Online


Volunteer Fair

The first Step Forward Volunteerism Fair will take place at Theobald Hall, Berkeley Square in Hamilton on Tuesday, Sept 23 from 4 - 7 pm. Find out more about the River cleanup and learn about the many ways that you can get involved with our community. The fair even invludes seminars and a Citizen CPR class for those interested.

Mill Creek River Cleanup

October 4 at Beckett Park in West Chester. Volunteers will spread out to locations around the watershed. Contact the Mill Creek Watershed Council for details 513-563-8800

Great Miami River Cleanup

There are two main times of year for cleanups. From Franklin north to the start of the river is in July, and from Middletown South to the Ohio River is on October 25. Find out more details at
