Butler SWCD is currently seeking candidates to run for the Butler Soil & Water Conservation District's Board of Supervisors election. Interested parties must be at least 18 years old and reside in Butler County.

Monitor Stream Biology Training

Saturday, June 19. 9 am - 11:30 am

Dudley Woods Park, Hankins Rd, Liberty Twp

After attending this short training, volunteers will be able to borrow equipment to help monitor the health of the streams.

No experience necessary.  

By studying aquatic life, we can gain a better overall understanding of the health of our local rivers and creeks.

Summer Kids Programs

We hold numerous family and child friendly programs throughout the summer. More information about registration, local, times, etc can be found at


Conservation Kids

Tuesdays- for ages 8 -14.

Learn about a local environmental issue, then work on a service project.

Registration required. Max of 20 participants.

Creeking & Ponds

Thursdays - all ages

Each week, we will visit a different park to explore the life in the creeks and ponds. Plan to get wet.

Family Fun Fridays

Fridays at Rentschler Forest Metropark. Program starts at 10 am.

Each week, we will explore a different topic.

Agricultural Pesticide Disposal Drop-Off Event

Tuesday, August 24

9 AM - 3 PM

Butler County Fairgrounds, 1715 Fairgrove Avenue, Hamilton 45011

This event allows Ohio farmers to dispose of old pesticides safely and responsibly. 

This disposal event is free of charge, but only farm chemicals will be accepted. Paint, antifreeze, solvents, or household or non-farm pesticides will NOT be accepted.

Board Meetings 

2021 Butler SWCD Board of Supervisors meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at 3:30 pm. Unless otherwise noted.

Meetings are held at Butler SWCD, 1802 Princeton Rd, Hamilton OH 45011. 

Board Meetings via Zoom

2021 Butler SWCD Board of Supervisors meetings will also be accessible via Zoom. If you would like to attend, please contact our office for the zoom meeting link and passcode.
