Tree Sale 2022

We are once again partnering with Warren and Greene Soil and Water Conservation Districts for our 2022 tree seeding sale. All tree orders are handled by Warren SWCD, please click below to see tree species and to place an order.

Upcoming Educator Workshops
Project WILD

Saturday, February 5 at Voice of America Park, West Chester

This workshop is for elementary and middle school educators who will receive the nationally recognized curricula, along with other resources. 

This workshop is hosted by Butler SWCD and MetroParks of Butler County.

2022 Garden Series: Backyard Wildlife

Please note due to Covid, these sessions may be in person at the Butler SWCD/OSU building, or they may be virtual.

  • February 7: Garden planning for wildlife & The return of native wildlife.

  • May 2: Dealing with nuisance wildlife  & Dragonfly gardening 

  • August 1: Landscape light pollution & Meet the bats, moths, & other nocturnal wildlife

Master Rain Gardener Course 

The Master Rain Gardener (MRG) Course is a 5 day class that takes place over 6 weeks. The Spring class is full. We plan to repeat this course in the fall. To receive information for Fall, please visit www.cincyraingardener.org

New Teacher Resources Online

Butler SWCD has partnered with surrounding counties to provide free online resources (videos, lesson plans, quizzes, etc) all aligned to Ohio Learning Standards. Register for this free resource at https://sites.google.com/view/swcd

COVID 19

The health and safety of our staff and community members is a top priority for us. Due to the Coronavirus, we are taking precautions to prevent the spread of this illness. However, we are still committed to assisting our county residents. The following changes are being implemented (until further notice):

  • Our office is now open to walk-in visitors for SWCD assistance 

  • Appoints must be made if you need to meet with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)

  • Visitors must wear a mask when in our office since we are co-located with our Federal partners

  • We are still available via email at butlerswcd@butlercountyohio.org & phone 513-887-3720

2022 Board Meetings 

2022 Butler SWCD Board of Supervisors meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at 3:30 pm. Unless otherwise noted below. 

Meetings are held at Butler SWCD, 1802 Princeton Rd, Hamilton OH 45011.

Sale Items

We sell Rain barrels, bird boxes and more.  All items must be picked up from our office. You can pay by cash or check. If you need to pay by credit card, please be aware there is a small additional fee charged by paypal.
